Teague Alexy is a South Jersey-by-way-of-California songwriter and musician who has settled in Duluth and has become a distinctive voice in the Minnesota and Upper Midwest music scenes. “A buzz-worthy singer-songwriter,” according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune, Teague's songwriting and music are deeply rooted in Americana after crisscrossing the country for a decade with brother Ian in their band Hobo Nephews of Uncle Frank. Teague is also a short story columnist, a published author of a rhyming folktale book, and has side projects including playing Irish traditional songs (Teague & The Paddy Wagon) and ska music (Woodblind Meets Teague Alexy). It is an ever-expanding backdrop for a profound and original American singer/songwriter. On his new album, Effervescent, Teague is backed by his longtime Duluth-based band The Common Thread.
