Doug writes the kind of songs that feel familiar from the first listen, and the band always brings a fun, laid-back energy to the room. He has had 3 songs voted finalist for “Best Song of the Year” by the Minneapolis Star Tribune, along with his 2016 CD Complicated Compliments, which was also voted one of the "Best of the Year". His latest CD Good Sad News has been voted the 3rd best American release in Spain in 2018 by Ruta66 Magazine. Their newest CD, Lonely Memories, was released June 13, 2025.
