Animales is excited to welcome back Doug Collins & the Receptionists. With Doug’s sharp melodies and the band’s easy blend of pop and country, their sets feel warm, familiar, and full of heart. It’s the kind of show that settles right into the Animales room.

He has had 3 songs voted finalist for “Best Song of the Year” by the Minneapolis Star Tribune, along with his 2016 CD Complicated Compliments, which was also voted one of the "Best of the Year". His latest CD Good Sad News has been voted the 3rd best American release in Spain in 2018 by Ruta66 Magazine. Their newest CD, Lonely Memories, was released June 13, 2025.
